Our Little Gardener...

Seriously, right?!?!

She's too much, I know!

Mommy planted her garden (well, part of it) on Saturday and she had a little helper!

She was VERY helpful...

*cough, cough*

Okay, she was really helpful in making ADORABLE pictures...

Because believe me, Daddy certainly wouldn't have been taking pictures of just me planting my garden.

I don't blame him though...

The last garden I planted I was forty pounds heavier and wearing a giant sweatshirt & yoga pants...

Our family has come a long way!

And I LOVE it! =)

Our Favorite Guy...

We've had a long 24 hours... Matt's been having some abdominal pain that started on Wednesday morning. He went to the doctor on Wednesday thinking maybe it was a hernia and after many tests were run... they found NOTHING. Don't you just love results like that?

Thursday came around and he woke up feeling okay and headed off to work again. He called me around 10:00 and said the pain was worse and when he called the doctor they told him to go to the ER if his pain was getting worse. So... he came home and headed to the ER and I took Madi to Mom and met him over there. After sitting in the ER for three and a half hours, we finally had some "results"... Matt had a very large "mass" behind his abdomen. The ER doctor definitely wasn't nice, but he did his job and for that we are VERY thankful. When he came in to give us the CT scan results he had already scheduled an appointment for Matt to have an immediate biopsy at Salem Hosptial. We headed straight into Salem (around 2:30) and Salem Hosptial did an awesome job of getting Matt prepped and ready for the biopsy. The procedure lasted a little over an hour and then we hung around for another two hours before Matt was released. They gave him LOTS of "good stuff", so he was a little "rummy", but very relaxed, which was the important part! =)

Praise the Lord we had an awesome physician, Dr. Hirasaki, who performed the biopsy. He also knew that we were not going to be able to have the results until Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest. However, we received an unexpected phone call around 10:00 today and Dr. Hiraskai had gone into work on his day off just to check Matt's results. He called on his cell phone to let Matt know that the tumor is NON cancerous and is known as Ganglineuroma. It will have to be treated (removed), but from what we can tell is not life-threatening! Praise the Lord! We're hoping to meet with Matt's primary care physician on Monday and receive a referral for a tumor-specialist. We have no idea what the time frame looks like, but hopefully it will all happen quickly as Matt is very uncomfortable, especially when he's up and moving!

We are SO thankful for our wonderful friends and family who have been praying non-stop! Our prayers have been answered! God is good!

Playing Cinderella...

It's nights like these that I remember why Madi has the best Daddy EVER...

I'll try not to get too sappy on you, but hopefully by now the music I added is playing.

I was going through Madi's closet and putting laundry away while these two played on the floor.

Madelyn has this way with her Daddy (not surprising) and as you can see she can get him to do just about anything...

including wear pink hats for pictures.

She doesn't have the largest vocabulary yet, but she certainly gets her point across.

She dressed her Daddy up just the way she wanted him!

I mean, this girl even had the dog into it!

Well, I guess that's if you consider this being "into it"...

Who knew a box of accessories would be this much fun!

I think it was only this much fun because Daddy was playing too!

She'll certainly be our Cinderella forever!!!

Even if she is turning one in a little over a week. *tear*tear*

Multi-tasking...

As I type, I'm brushing my teeth.

It's always nice to kill two birds with one stone. I'm glad Madi has learned this at a young age! =)

Just Like Mommy...

Okay, so I got a little jealous after yesterday's post.

Just kidding... well, sort of.

This morning Madi was playing on the floor in our room and the next minute she was trotting up and down the hall like this...

Yes, Madelyn, chapstick goes on your lips... not IN your mouth!

She had stolen my glasses, pen, and chapstick off of my nightstand.

I know what you're thinking.

Your husband is so much cooler than you are...

Yes, I know. I'm the nerd. But hey, we go together like peanut butter and jelly, so back off!

Someone has to be the nerd, and clearly Madi has not decided which role suits her best!

Although in this picture she definitely looks happy being the *nerd*...

So for now, we'll just say she's taking after Mommy!

Yes, that's right, she wants to be just like MOMMY when she grows up!!! =)

Just Like Daddy...

Matt got home from his track meet and jumped in the shower quickly to ensure that he would be clean in time to watch the Blazers tonight!!! I was sitting at the computer in our office when all of the sudden I heard this coming from the living room...

Somebody found Daddy's whistle!

And she clearly knows how cute she is by the look on her face...

She's right, so for the next ten minutes I followed her around with the camera taking pictures of her puffed up cheeks and snotty nose.

She was pretty proud of herself.

I'm sure if you had mastered this many new tricks (walking, blowing a whistle, walking & blowing a whistle) in the last few weeks, you probably would be too! =)

And just when I thought things couldn't get any cuter, she brought out her basketball!

She made it clear tonight...

She wants to be just like Daddy when she grows up!!!

Bottoms Up!

Madelyn has really started liking her sippy cup lately. I think she's just trying to prove to her Mama that she really is becoming a big girl! =(

She loves taking big drinks from her sippy.

... and she's really learned the art of throwing her head back in order to get the water to come out!

She knows she's really scored when she finds one of her cousins' cups because it has juice in it instead of water!!!

The Great Outdoors...

We pretty much can't wait for summer to be here around our house! Madelyn loves to be outside and since the opportunities have been few and far between lately she pretty much does the next best thing... which is watching other people be outside!

She goes crazy when she gets to watch Winston and Daddy in the backyard. The glass gets finger prints on every last bit of it and we start to hear high-pitched screeching!!

When she finally gets her Daddy's attention. She bangs even harder and squeals even higher!!!

It's pretty cute!

This is the look I get, because I'm just not as cool...

Oh well, I'll go outside without her sometime and then we'll see who's smiling!!!

Until then, we will just long for summer even more!
