Just Like Daddy...

Matt got home from his track meet and jumped in the shower quickly to ensure that he would be clean in time to watch the Blazers tonight!!! I was sitting at the computer in our office when all of the sudden I heard this coming from the living room...

Somebody found Daddy's whistle!

And she clearly knows how cute she is by the look on her face...

She's right, so for the next ten minutes I followed her around with the camera taking pictures of her puffed up cheeks and snotty nose.

She was pretty proud of herself.

I'm sure if you had mastered this many new tricks (walking, blowing a whistle, walking & blowing a whistle) in the last few weeks, you probably would be too! =)

And just when I thought things couldn't get any cuter, she brought out her basketball!

She made it clear tonight...

She wants to be just like Daddy when she grows up!!!

Bottoms Up!

Madelyn has really started liking her sippy cup lately. I think she's just trying to prove to her Mama that she really is becoming a big girl! =(

*Please excuse the snot...*

She loves taking big drinks from her sippy.

... and she's really learned the art of throwing her head back in order to get the water to come out!

Sometimes I have a hard time picking what pictures to put on here so I just put all of my favorites up! ;)

*Insert crazy cousin picture here*
I don't know where he gets it from?!?!
But he sure is cute!!!

She knows she's really scored when she finds one of her cousins' cups because it has juice in it instead of water!!!

Here's the three little bambinos drinking away. Yes, it's just water and juice!

Too cute!!!

The Great Outdoors...

We pretty much can't wait for summer to be here around our house! Madelyn loves to be outside and since the opportunities have been few and far between lately she pretty much does the next best thing... which is watching other people be outside!

She goes crazy when she gets to watch Winston and Daddy in the backyard. The glass gets finger prints on every last bit of it and we start to hear high-pitched screeching!!

When she finally gets her Daddy's attention. She bangs even harder and squeals even higher!!!

It's pretty cute!

This is the look I get, because I'm just not as cool...

Oh well, I'll go outside without her sometime and then we'll see who's smiling!!!

Until then, we will just long for summer even more!

Easter Fun...

Well, I forgot to take the beloved "Easter" picture with our little darling in her Easter dress. We were ready for church just in time to head out the door and by the time we made it back we had a VERY tired baby. Does that story sound familiar? Her dress came off in time for food and the rest is documented below.

I have full intentions of re-creating her adorable look - complete with every accessory you can imagine for a 10 month old, but until then you get a little naked baby with the "World's Cutest Grin" and mashed potatoes on every inch of her skin.

Yes, folks even down her diaper...

She LOVES food. There really isn't much more to say. We don't expect it to be long before she will be out-eating her mother.

Yeah, she's probably already passed up her father.

Don't judge. I know how to eat.

But, please, folks, I enjoy every BIT of it, so I feel no guilt! I have long been able to out eat my husband (on my defense, he's not the biggest of eaters...). I'm proud of my skills, and I would really appreciate it if nobody points this blog out to me when I'm 40 years old and fat.

Thank you!

Back to the cute girl...

Now, although we both love food about the same amount, I have DEFINITELY learned a few table manners in my days...

Madi is still too cute to need any, but we do plan on introducing them soon.

I think.

You have to appreciate the "I'm so full all I can think about is a nap" face, right?

I mean, come on, you feel that way too after a delicious Easter meal cooked by your Nana.

It didn't last long before she was carted off to her second bath of the day. It's a common occurrence around our house. We're not ashamed.

And then, there was the Easter egg "hunt"! It's pretty entertaining watching a 10 month old, almost 3 year old, and almost 5 year old look for eggs that are LITERALLY right in front of them.

We're taking them to have their eyes checked this week.

No, but really, it will be a while before the actual "hunt" part takes place.

Until then, we'll just continue to throw eggs out in front of them and watch them wander over and shake them.

Because the shaking part was the FUN part.

It's amazing how much personality this little twenty pound girl has (not that anyone should be THAT surprised). She started shaking the eggs and the boys (who may, or may not be, complete followers) thought she had just invented a new toy. So they started right in as well...

I think these three kids might be the cutest baby and preschoolers in the whole entire world!
(*Please note that Seven NEVER takes his eyes off of his precious little girl... He loves her THAT much*)

And I'm not even biased at all.

Okay, maybe a little.

Friends...

We spent lots of time during our spring break playing with friends and visiting family! It was wonderful! Madi and I got together with four other girls that I graduated from college (WOU) with and three of them have babies!!! We're still waiting on Angela, cough, cough... =) Madi is definitely the "busiest" out of her little friends. And yes, I'm well aware of it. We tried getting a group shot of the kiddos on the couch and we had to act fast before Madi attempted the one-hand-spring off the front of the couch or gouged eyes out of sleeping 2 month olds-followed by a sweet kiss, of course! BTW, if you haven't had a Madi kiss lately, you're definitely missing out... on a huge open-mouth, slobber dripping, razor sharp teeth sign of affection! We love them! =)

I couldn't decide what pictures to use, so I went ahead and put them all up because I think the progression is the best part!

Unfortunately, I didn't get the first part where Madi decided to wake up poor, peacefully sleeping Kade...

She's just starting to realize that her picture is being taken - time to start posing!!!

Sure, I'll smile!

I'm really good at having my picture taken!

My little jewish babe - too exhausted to sleep a wink in front of friends!

The jealousy is beginning already...

Ponytails... oh how we long to have one!!!

Something is worth cheering about! Poor Kalaya was getting attacked on both sides, but I have to say her U frown is absolutely adorable!

And... I'm outta here guys! Sorry you can't move yet - diving off the couch is pretty fun!

Jessica & Connor, Kari & Kade, Kelly & Kalaya, Angela, and of course Madi and me =)

~

The next day we had Janelle & Bryson, and Ramie & Judson over to play! Okay, so Madi did most of the playing, but we still can pretend.

Bryson is not too sure that he likes somebody twice his size leaning up against him... Madi, is fine with just posing (as usual...)

And look at this romantic move by Judson... he's giving Madi a foot rub already! I like to think the next picture is Matt telling Judson to get his hands off of her... hahahaha...

Madi thinks it's pretty funny herself!

These kids...

It was a fun week! Thanks for all the fun girls (and little boys - as you can see Madi is very outnumbered with her one girl friend and four boy friends!)
