Welcome, Weston James!

Weston James Lambert was born at 12:43 am on Saturday, September 22nd.  He was a healthy NINE pounds one ounce and twenty-two inches long. He pulls in as nephew #8 and cousin #9 for our children. We love him so much already!!!

Everybody, except for Jessica and David, was able to make it for a visit on his birthday (*tear*), and we had quite the party at the birth center!

Madi was SO excited to meet him, but in all honestly, her highlight of the weekend came when she got to be Crosby's Mama since his "other Mama" was busy.  Our conversation was as follows:

Madi, "Hey Mom, can I be Crosby's Mom? Cause his other Mama is at the hospital taking care of baby Weston."
Me, "Yeah, sure, that sounds fine with me."

And so the beginning of playing house began... and it lasted all weekend!

As for Weston, he's cute, snuggly, and Oh. So. Smoochie.

This was the only decent picture of Emmitt, as I had to attempt pictures one handed while keeping Em in a forearm block...

Surprisingly, all SEVEN grandchildren sat very still as we took a group picture.  I'm not sure what they were mesmerized by...

Oh wait, probably eight adults making total fools of themselves, which probably explains the open-gasp looks on their faces too. Well, whatever it takes, we were obviously willing to take one for the team.

Eventually we were old news again and the monster trucks were dug out from their hiding places while Madi ran around and asked, "Can I play too?" to all of the boys while continually getting ignored... such is the life with boy cousins, I suppose.

The proudest brother of them all! He pretty much loves this baby thing! =)

As for this guy, he's still only one for a few more days!!! =(

Papa attempting to hold all the one-year-olds...

We're so glad you're finally here, Weston! Welcome to the Lambert family!!! =)
