Just a Drive...

The weather is finally gorgeous and I have to resist just staring at the 10-day forecast with a smile on my face.  I can hardly believe that summer is just around the corner and soon we will be going to sleep with the sweet smell of the outdoors every. single. night. This is the time of year that I get so giddy about long summer nights and fresh berries that I have to absolutely resist tearing up with happiness.  Okay, that was a little over dramatic, but still, I LOVE summer!

I snuck away to work alone at Starbucks this morning and then we enjoyed the sunshine in our back yard the rest of the day.  We topped off the day with BLT's and a nice country drive! It was purrr-fect!
Did I forget to mention the ice cream? Maybe that's why it was so perfect... ;)

This was at the top of Gates-Hill Road (I think ;). I forget just how spoiled we are living in the Willamette Valley.  It's so incredibly beautiful!

I love Madi's glowing face and little fingers in this picture!

Madelyn snuggled on Matt's lap when we got home and told him that her favorite part of the drive was the beautiful sunset that Jesus made. ;) She's pretty much the sweetest {almost} three year old I know...

Em just fell asleep and ate his toes. ;)

Fine, I'll tell the truth.  This post is rather short because I just wasted way too much time on pinterest.  We're having a baby shower here for a friend next weekend and there's just SO many ideas out there that I just can't seem to get enough of! =)

And thus the secret of my bad-blogging-habits is out.

*sigh*

Happy Mother's Day ladies! I hope you all get spoiled by your families and snuggles with your babies (and a day with the least whiny kids as possible ;)!!!

  1. Not gonna lie, been enjoying sunshine here since January. However, it has recently become VERY muggy... which makes me long for the light wonderful air of the PNW. *Sigh* Love you. Miss you.
